Hi ONCE AGAIN ( Lol ) I hope ya'll are not getting tired of me yet, even though I just signed up for the forum today :P,

I have a question on categories...

I tried googling " What are categories" ... But, I did not get any clarity on what they are.
Is categories like tagging in thunderbird? I love this feature in thunderbird, because when I want to find an email :

All I have to do in TB is:

ALT + E ( Edit Menu)

ALT + F ( Find Menu)

ALT + M = ( Search Messages)

Select folder to search in LOCAL FOLDERS > ARCHIVES > 2018 > 2018 IN folder

Then change the qualifications to search by TAG

Tag contains lets say FACEBOOK

hit search

And then as you see below....... There's all my tagged and archived facebook messages
I am hoping that's the same feature!!! I love tagging... It really makes finding emails soooooooooo much easier!

I have not looked at t-bird in years and I don't think it had tagging when i last used it, so while i can't say for sure, it should be along the same lines. You categorize messages to 'group' them with other similar messages and can use Search or a Search folder to find the messages in that category. You can sort/group a folder by category too.
