How to use Roadrunner email in Outlook Express?

Open Outlook Express and select Accounts from the Tools drop-down.
Click Add and then select Mail in the drop-down.
Enter a Display name and click Next.
Enter your email address and click Next.
Select POP or IMAP in the My incoming mail server...drop-down.
Enter your server settings:
POP settings:
Account Type: POP or POP3
Incoming Mail Server: mail.twc.com
Incoming Server - POP3 port: 995
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): mail.twc.com
Outgoing Server - SMTP port: 587
Inbound & Outbound User Name: Enter full email address
johndoe@[division].rr.com
johndoe@roadrunner.com
johndoe@twc.com
Inbound & Outbound Password: Email Password
SMTP Server Requires Authentication: Checked
IMAP settings:
Account Type: IMAP
Incoming Mail Server: mail.twc.com
Incoming Server –IMAP port: 993
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): mail.twc.com
Outgoing Server – SMTP port: 587
Inbound & Outbound User Name: Enter full email address
johndoe@[division].rr.com
johndoe@roadrunner.com
johndoe@twc.com
Inbound & Outbound Password: Email Password
SMTP Server Requires Authentication: Checked

Using Roadrunner email account, you can send, receive, store, organize and manage your account from your Computer.
Use Roadrunner on Outlook express:
  • First off, Launch Microsoft Outlook and click on”File” button -> Add Account in the right pane.
  • Select the option “Manually Configure Server Settings or Additional Server Types”
  • Click on ‘Account Type’ and select POP3 from the options list.
  • For Incoming and Outgoing Mail Server :
Outgoing Server: "smtp-server.domain.rr.com"
Incoming Server: "pop-server.domain.rr.com"
  • Type your Roadrunner username and password.
  • At last, click on the 'Finish' button to verify that your Roadrunner email settings are configured properly in Outlook.

  1. Click on "Tools" in the menu bar
  2. Click on "Accounts"
  3. Click the "Mail" tab
  4. Double-click the account (it will say mail.you-website-name)
  5. Click the "Advanced" tab
  6. Locate the box labeled "Outgoing server (SMTP)"
  7. Change the number from "25" to "101"
  8. Click the "Apply" and "OK" buttons
  9. Click the "Close" button
  10. Close Outlook Express and then open it again
