Message List Font Changed

When I opened Outlook 2016 on my Windows 7 computer this morning, the font size in the Message List has changed to a very small one. I checked the font settings in Other Settings. They are set as they have been at at 8 pt. Segoe UI. To be sure, I compared the settings with my Outlook 2013 installation on my Windows 10 computer, and they are the same. The fonts in Outlook 2013 are fine. I started Outlook with the /safe switch, and the fonts are still too small. I've checked the Display and Font settings in Windows (Control Panel), and they are set to the default settings. Nothing has changed there. I did not make any changes to any Conditional Formatting. Resetting the Current View didn't help.

How can I fix this problem? Thanks!
 
There's another problem, as well. When I start Outlook, it creates an additional icon in the task bar. It wasn't doing that before. It's confusing.
 
Did you notice, I took the weekend off. :)

Is it working now? There is a bug in the newest update that causes the tiny text - restarting outlook should fix it, at least one person needed ot restart twice - so I'm assuming it is fixed for you n

Does the second icon come and go? When you use the option to keep reminders on top, it seems to use its own taskbar icon.
 
The problem is not fixed, and I have restarted Outlook numerous times. I had to change the font to see it (10 pt.) so later today, I'll change it back to see if the problem persists.

The second icon problem was consistent, but I just fixed it. I unpinned it from the Taskbar and then repinned it. Problem solved. The method was on a forum somewhere.

when I first tested the tiny text bug, I changed the font (the person who discovered the bug began by saying he did that and the font didn't change). I couldn't repro his problem but when I reset the view, it was normal again. I also restarted outlook at least once, so who knows what the fix was. :)
 
Well, well, well. After resetting the "Pin to Taskbar" problem, the other problem has gone away. Not only has it gone away, but also Outlook reset the font to 8 pt., and all is well. Go figure. Somehow they're related. Windows must have been sending mixed signals to Outlook.
