Is the BCM Database Moveable?

FYI, the link below is legit. It points to another thread on this discussion

group entitled: "Pleae help an idiot with BCM and Networking". The original

link was long, so I shortened it using tinyurl.

Thank you for the response. I followed the link and this is how it was

addressed:

Q: I have a local database that I want to move to a server and hence share

it with my colleagues

A: You should use Admin Tool to achieve this.

Move a database was not an option.

Am I to backup the database and restore it in the desired location? Is that

even possible? So far, BCM has been pretty stringent in terms of being able

to choose the location for the database.

I see 2 scenario's

1] You want to move your database to an other workstation running outlook

BCM

2] You want to move the database to a server

For 1 --> backup the database, move the backupfile to other client, restore

database

For 2 --> backup database, install a database on your server, using the tool

I pointed you to in your august 31 post this group, connect your client to

th eserver database, restore databse
