outlook hotmail connector update killed my outlook - please help!!

I was prompted to install the latest update for outlook hotmail connector and it killed my outlook. the hotmail datafile is "not available" and I have tried everything- installing and reinstalling- Please help, I have no access to my outlook emails!!
 
Have similar problem. Upgraded Outlook Connector when prompted several days ago and Hotmail access stopped working. Have uninstalled and reinstalled connector to no avail. When clicking on Outlook Connector "folder" get a message "Unknown error - 0x80070715". Get same message under Account settings. Worked fine until this upgrade - thanks MS.
 
Begin with basic troubleshooting steps, including the following:




1. Reboot the computer after installation




2. Uninstall and reinstall the connector




3. Remove the account from your profile and recreate it after restarting Outlook




If it's still not working, we recommend opening a support incident with Microsoft so they can investigate this problem further. Go to http://support.microsoft.com/ph/14864#tab0 and click the link under Get Help Now.




If you need to enter a Product ID, enter the Product ID from Outlook, not the Connector.
