Email notification if notification email fails

Hello all, I am new to this forum, my occupation is Key user for a SAP business warehouse solution. I am living in Sweden.

My problem is this:

I recieve automatic emails every time the batch to update the business warehuse succeds with this. Since we have several solutions and several updates per day I have a rule to forward them to a certain folder for later analysis. The problem is that is the batch fails I dont get an email. What I would like is to have a macro that scans this folder each day and alerts me if I have not recieved the alert emails. Would this be possible?

You can use vba but I don't have any samples.

I have a similar need and leave it in my inbox and use auto-mate addin to move mail out of the inbox after a period of time. It keeps my inbox clean and gives me time to see the (mostly) useless status updates.
