Hi, guys! I'm so glad I found this forum.

I have the following issue. I've set some birthdays in my Outlook calendar and I'd like to share them with others, more like to remind them about them with a couple of days in advance. I do this by inviting attendees. However, they get the notification/reminder right on the spot. I know that they will be notified also within the time set by the reminder, but I simply don't dig this behavior (not to mention the people who feel spammed).

Do you have any ideas on how to fix this?

Their reminder should be based on their default reminder settings. Do they need the event on their calendar or just an emailed reminder?

You can send an email when your reminder fires - Send an email when an Appointment reminder fires - maybe an email with a copy of the event attached, so they can add it to their calendar, if they want.
 
They need the event but it's hard to convince them!

Anyway, since I can't use macros due to security issues at work, I set the reminder for me and I'll forward it to them when times comes.
