Synchronizing Contact "File As"

I have a large number of contacts filed in various ways in the "File As" field in my address book that I've changed from the original way Outlook recorded the data. When I synchronize to iPhone or iPhone to another computer, all data is present, but the "File As" field is unchanged in the remote device. I've written over the remote data, but it reverts to the orginal way it was recorded. Is there a way to force synchronization to the changed data?
 
If you open the contacts in Outlook, the file as field is as you want it to be but when you sync the contacts don't change? I never paid attention to that, but will double check it on my iPad.
