Hello and thank you for viewing/responding.
We are merging companies and want to export client's Outlook 2007 contacts into an off premise 3rd party hosted exchange 2010 environment via the client's Outlook client. We have the individual PST files. We do not have access to the off premise exchange server however. Therefore we want to use a workstation logged on as the client to "ingest" (import) the contact pst to the off premise exchange 2010 servers.
We are using virtual PCs and will need to create a profile and then import the contact PST. We want to do this for hundreds of clients. Imagine several IT staff logging on and off of virtual PC's and doing this manually for each client to have the contacts in place and ready to go on day one they work for the new company.
I was looking at using the /importprf command to start Outlook and create the initial profile on the virtual PC. Is there a way thru a PRF then to import the PST? Or is there a scripting method? We want to automate this process as much as possible. I see you can specify where the PST is however, I want to import the PST not specify its location.
Please bear in mind we do not have any access to the hosted exchange servers except via the client's Outlook.
Thanks
J
