Error when running scanpst.exe

Running standalone Outlook 2007 setup for POP3 account. I like to run scanpst occasionally, just to keep the pst file error free. Today, when I tried running scanpst, I receive a dialogue box that says "Requesting data from Microsoft Exchange...Outlook is retrieving data from the Microsoft Exchange Server "%s*". You can cancel the request or minimize this message to the Windows taskbar until Outlook closes the message automatically." See attachment...

Since I'm not using an Exchange server, does anyone know why I would getting this error message?

No idea, but honestly, you don't need to run scanpst unless Outlook says you need it. It will check the data file on start up and repair it if needed.

I'm assuming you didn't open scanost by mistake?
