Outlook wont send emails but receives

I recently configured my Yahoo mail on Outlook 2007. A little while after, there was a problem where it started downloading duplicate copies of all emails. What I did was to gather these mails and delete them. Ever since I deleted those mails, I've not been able to send emails but yet I can still receive.

Whenever I try to send emails, I normally get a message saying Outlook error 0×80042109. Then it goes on to say something to the effect that I am unable to connect to my outgoing (SMTP) email server. This is maybe not the exact words but its something along the line.

What is it that I can do to stop this from happening?
