Hi. I saw you helping people on the MS forums and thought I would seek help here.

I have a new WP 929/Icon. I have 365 (home) and Outlook 2013. My main email account is a POP account but I have created an outlook.com account for the phone and for syncing.

I left my pop account alone in outlook and added the outlook.com account.
If I send an email to the POP account I do not receive the email, anywhere. Nor do I receive at the POP account.
Emails sent to outlook.com are received on my phone and outlook 2013 and outlook.com

I have the data file for the POP account sending to the .ost file. I also have the POP account as the default data file. I assumed this would deliver POP emails to the outlook account but obviously that is not working.
Is the POP account trying to use outlook.com settings for sending and receiving? Seems like the POP would use the settings in mail-32bit.

Do I need to go into outlook.com and add the POP account as a send/receive?

Any help would be appreciated!

EDIT: error is 0x80040102. Does this mean that the POP account cannot access the Exchange account?
 
The pop account should be sending and receiving email - do you get any send and receive errors? You can't deliver email to the Outlook.com ost file - it either needs to go into the pst or you need to set it up in outlook.com online as a connected account. (My preference is to keep the profile set up the way it is now.)

error is 0x80040102
When I had the .pst delivering to the .ost it would not send nor receive. I just changed it back to delivering to the inbox of the .pst and it works fine.

What are the ramifications of adding the POP to the outlook.com account?
 
Calendar and contacts won't sync if you use pop, only the inbox. That is really the only issue.

When you tried to deliver pop3 account to the outlook.com ost, send and receive failed because outlook.com doesn't support that. If you want mail from other accounts in the outlook.com folder you need to set it up as a connected account in outlook.com on the web.
 
Thank you for your reply. I now have POP and Outlook.com in Outlook 2013. They have identical emails but that is not a big deal. I use the POP folder because it has 30342432 rules set up.
