I use Outlook 2013 on my Desktop Computer.
Outlook is configured with two accounts – one account that links to my Google G-mail account for all my e-mail and one account that links to my Outlook.com for Calendar, Contacts and Tasks.
Somehow I have duplicate “People” records within my Outlook Client on my Desktop Computer. They are not all “exact” duplicates. There are some slight differences between some records.
The “Modify Date” for these duplicate records are different. One record has an actual “Modify Date” of 5/24/14, which was last modified by me. The duplicate record has a “Modify Date” of 05/07/15 date, which is most likely the date when I did an import.
There is only one “People” record within my Microsoft Account People, so the duplication issue did not propagate to my Outlook.com.
My issue is if I edit the “People” record dated 5/24/14 it immediately gets deleted from my Contact list on my Desktop Outlook client after saving the change! It does this for any “People” record I edit. The one “People” record on my Outlook.com remains, which may suggest this record was associated with the “People” Record on my Desktop Outlook client that I did not edit.
Any idea why editing a “People” record would cause it to be deleted? Does it have anything to do with having duplicate records?
If all of these duplicate records all have the same “Modify Date” of 5/7/2015, is there an easy way to delete just those “People” records having a “Modify Date” of 5/7/2015?
