Outlook Contacts 2010 problem with Notes section configuration

"So after years and several versions of Outlook including through Outlook 2013 the replication of URLs and email addresses continues in the Contacts Notes section. This is happening with a majority of my clients and with my contacts as well. I have to routinely remove the dozens of duplicated email addresses which eventually fill up the notes section. Specifically an email address in the notes section like user@domain.com turns into user@domain.com <mailto: user@domain.com <mailto: user@domain.com <mailto: user@domain.com >>> . This replication sometimes goes on for dozens of times. This was the original issue mentioned in this thread and I don't see that it has been addressed here or anywhere else. Does anyone have a solution yet to this annoying bug?"

This problem has existed for as long as anyone can remember - is there any solution?
 
You are syncing with a smart phone? This occurs because the contacts notes field on the phone doesn't support HTML and urls get converted to plain text following a sync, then outlook /exchange hyperlinks them again.

The only solution is not putting urls/email addresses in the notes so they don't get converted to hyperlinks.
 
Accordingly, Outlook/ Exchange is the problem. The links are created there. Am I right? And there is certainly no way to turn off this nonsense?

I have been struggling with this topic for decades...
 
I have found a solution and it works perfectly for the moment:

If the sync of the contacts runs over the app NINE from 9folders this nonsense is completely omitted.
 
The Notes section of several of my Contacts in Microsoft Outlook have been corrupted with:
1. Font has been changed
2. Tabs have been replaced by spaces
3. Style has been changed to Heading1
4. Paragraph spacing has been changed
5. Hyperlink tags have been added
6. (perhaps unrelated) Several lengthy Notes have been truncated with the comment at the bottom "[Text truncated on device. Modification of these items on the device will overwrite full text on desktop.]"
I "seem" to have fewer problems if I use the Courier New font and avoid placing web addresses in the Notes section. Any suggestions?
