Tone Detector - How to disable

I have to say I was surprised that when I searched on TONE DETECTOR the only hit was an email reply I just posted where I mentioned it relative to a different issue. How is it that no one has asked this before when as far as I can tell this Tone Detector feature has been around at least 1-2 years?

As a grown man I don't need software policing my words so does anyone know how you can disable this thing?
