When you type "@" in the body of an email in Outlook 2019, a search box opens showing your address book entries or an empty box, if nothing matches. The box completely covers what you are typing so you can't see what you are doing.
Outlook Options > Search has no effect on this feature. I unchecked all the boxes, removed Outlook from the Index, and restarted Outlook.
Please do not confuse this with Outlook.com or the Outlook Web App. This is the full desktop version of Outlook 2019. It is possible that the 365 or 2021 desktop versions have this same problem but I haven't gotten to testing them or had any customer complaints.
Please help me disable this annoying box.
Thank you in advance!
