Error "not supported calendar message.ics" on Lotus Notes

Doug Herrington

Our engineers are analyzing this problem currently at the request of one of our customers. At first glance it appears to be only on 2007. MS has little motivation to fix this because it only impacts lotus notes. We may be contracted to develop a fix for this. Let me know if you would be interested in the fix if we develop it.

the end user who receives this meeting request is told he cannot accept the

message because he is the meeting organizer(?). I don't know if that will

We too are getting the same error. Examination of the .ICS files with "ABC

Amber iCalendar Converter" reveals that they do contain valid iCalendar data

so Notes does appear to be creating the .ICS files correctly. It would

appear to be a bug within either Outlook 2007 or Exchange 2007.

THis is very anoying. All "calendar communication" involving recurring

meetings we must handle manually. We are really looking forward to get this

fixed.

Hi Gurus,

In our regular business activity we get an email calender '.vcs' attachment , using it we set up our meetings or handle training activities from SAP backend.

Recently we rolled up from Microsoft Outlook 2003 to Microsoft Outlook 2007. None of our vCalendar attachments work since we have moved to Outlook 2007. When we try to open the .VCS attachment, we receive an error message stating that "message.vcs is not a valid Internet calendar file".

we even tried using .ICS attachment but same error pops up !

Request to suggest any solution please.

Any work around !!

Request to help , it would be greatly appreciated !!
