Vanishing signature image in Outlook 2010

I have a client running SBS2003. They use a (clean) signature (created in notepad) with an '<img ...'-link, referring to an image on a shared location on the server. Everyone's signatures works fine, except one user that is running MS Office 2010. When he sends an email, the signature is 'absorbed' in the message, and when I view a message sent from him to me, the <img ...> tab doesn't appear at all. I cannot see where I should disable MS Word as editor - is that the problem?

Outlook 2007 and 2010 only have one editor - Word. So you can't disable it. Is this the only person using Outlook 2010 or the only outlook 2010 user with a problem?

One thing I know for experience is that Outook 2010 needs to save the signature -you need to paste it into the signature field and save. It won't be 'clean' but it should work. I had 2 signatures with very tidy HTML code that I used for years and just putting the files in the signature folder. I had to let Outlook 2010 save the signatures.

FWIW, the outlook saved signatures will be huge in the signature folder - but it removes a lot of the extra stuff when the signature is added to a messge.
