Email Formatting - Tabs

Whenever I format my emails with tabs, the tabs disappear and my email ends up looking like a mess. Is there a way for my emails to retain the tabs?
 
no, not really. HTML doesn't support tab and will either remove them or replace with 5 spaces. You can use a table to hold things in place.

Using a fixed width font, like Courier New helps for plain text messages.
