Workgroup template file location?

Hello. I work for a large corporation where we all have Office 2010 using Exchange servers. Our team needs to standardize numerous emails and I'd like to do so via templates. Using Exchange (Organization Form Library) is not an option. What I want is to keep all our templates (.oft files) in common network file share. However, I can't figure out how to tell Outlook to look in the location of my choosing.

Bottom line, I want my team members to be able to click a button and be able to choose among our various templates which are stored in a common location. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
 
How many templates? You can use macros and put a button on the ribbon for one click access.
Are public folders available? If so, you could copy templates to a shared folder.
