ctrl-c not working in outlook 2013?

Hey all. Using Office 2013/365. Quite often I'll ctrl-c text but when I ctrl-v there's nothing and I have to go back and do it again. Occasionally I'll have to right-click and go to Copy that way in order to copy the text. ctrl-a also doesn't seem to work at all. What gives?

I've had a problem with ctrl+c not working in several programs in Windows 8, most frequently in IE. I'm not sure of the cause - could be a browser plugin or just windows weirdness. On occasion Ctrl+v won't work and other times nothing pastes until i paste into notepad then copy from notepad. Because it seems to work in notepad, I think its a rich text clipboard issue (notepad strips the formatting).
