Error in the Categories view

In our orginazation we have a group email account that several people work out of. They are given full mailbox rights via a security group that allows them to access the account using their own domain login. The group uses Categories to assign email within the inbox. None of the users have the group account in cached mode. There are couple of "ghost" email in the Categories view. The actual email was moved to a subfolder in the same account. If they sort by date, they don't see the email. But if they are in the Categories view they are there and can't be deleted or moved. I ran the clean views switch and the clean categories switch. I have created new Outlook profiles. Any ideas as to how to clean this veiw?

The error was something like "The item has already been deleted or moved..." I did not see the email in OWA, I was unable to find a Catagories view on OWA. The issue has been resolved by moving the account to a different server. If there is a way for the users to resolve the issue (in anticipation of it happening again) that would be great.
