Unread email count not displaying on Inbox sub-folders

Hello, for a while now I have been having an issue with the unread email count displaying in the sub-folders of my Inbox. I created a rule that sends emails to those sub-folders and for some reason the unread email count is no longer showing. This was working fine and at some point it stopped functioning. I have missed answering critical email because of this issue.

Is this a glitch or am I missing something? Is it an issue where MS has to put out a patch? Please help!
