I am mail merging from MS word to outlook. It seems all my messages are being sent in html and not rich text. my pictures are sent as attachments (not what I want).

Solutions?
 
Outlook will default to using HTML to internet addresses as only outlook can open RTF. The image would be wrapped in a winmail.dat file if they didn't use Outlook.

What types of email accounts are you sending to? If you inserted the image into the word doc, it will be embedded in the email but some email clients (like gmail) show it as an attachment - even outlook will show the attachment icon until the message is rendered.
 
Students - they are all different. gmail, academia, Korean domains. ect.

I think everything is ok.
