Arthur needs help with 2007 Outlook e-mail

I need serious help accessing my Outlook 2007 - ever since I downloaded that newest version of Windows I can no longer send or receive e-mails as I used to be able to do. It keeps giving me this message - Sending report error (0x800ccc1a) : ‘Your server does not support the connection encryption type you have specified. Try changing the encryption method --. what does the even mean? Then is tells me to Contact your mail server administrator or internet service provider (ISP) for additional assistance. --- How do I fix this already. I've gone on every website I can think of for help and nothing seems to work. Please I'm hoping that someone on this site can help me. I don't have the same high tech smarts as you so please be patient with me. All I need is for someone to explain what the problem is & give me step by step instructions on how to correct this issue. All I ask is that your instructions are easy to understand please keep in mind that I don't have the high tech smarts as many of you but I am a very fast learner. Thank you taking time to read my post. I look forward to your reply. I think my outlook maybe out of date but I'm not sure.
 
Hello Diane Poremsky - First of all thank you for replying to me but it looks like I don't need help after all. I just got my outlook working again. Honestly I don't know what the heck I just did. Something about going on the Outlook.com site entering my password with MS word and then from there something happened where I had to sync one e-mail to another and then presto change-o minutes later my outlook started working again. Thanks again for your assistance. Hope you have a great weekend.
