I am using Outlook 2007 on a Windows 10 PC. My default browser is Chrome. I receive a weekly email on Tuesdays from a service provider with hyperlinks to job vacancies. Since 23 December 2015 the hyperlinks in these emails have stopped working. If I select ‘copy hyperlink’ and paste it into Chrome, the link works. It also works if I forward the email to my Gmail account and click on the links there.
The issue is only present with emails from this one source. Interestingly, the links work in older emails from this source – ie those received before 23 December 2015. I have tried setting Edge as my default browser but the issue persists – older emails from the source and other emails with hyperlinks open in Edge; but the ones received after 23 December will not open.
To summarise, I have a browser independent hyperlink issue in Outlook 2007 confined to emails from one source. My guess is that the emails are being generated by an app with compatibility issues with Outlook 2007. Or is it at my end – is there an Outlook setting I can tweak to resolve the issue or should I refer it to the email provider?
