I have a rule that moves emails into a specified folder if the subject contains specified keywords. Is it possible to make a rule that operates only of the subject *starts* with specified keywords? For example, I want to include emails that start with "Quotation" or "Order", but not ones that start with "Re: Quotation", "Fwd: Order", etc.
 
you can set an exception to skip replies and fw but can't force it to look for the first word unless you use a script. (it will find 'Quotation for abcd' and 'here is the quotation you requested' but an exception will block re: and fw: in the subject)

I don't have a script that does exactly what you want, but this one moves mail and could easily be changed to check for leading words or the position of the words. Use VBA to move messages with attachments
 
Thanks for your reply. I see an option to specify exceptions in the rule settings, but I can't see one to skip replies and forwards. Can you clarify this? Would an exception to skip subjects containing ("Re:" Or "Fw:" Or "Fwd:") work?
