Outlook view grouping keeps changing

I have a message view set up to group by email account. Though I have changed this setting (with others) into a saved view, the grouping changes on me, periodically.

Is this a known problem? I'm using Outlook I-don't-know-what-version, downloaded as part of my school district's Office 365 plan.
 
Did you customize the default view? Try creating a custom view and see if it works better. But if you change anything it will be 'saved' to the view.

Once you get the view the way you like it you can use a macro to lock the view from changes. You'll be able to make temporary changes by when you leave the folder and return, the changes will be gone.

How to prevent changes to Outlook views

It's not hard to image this scenario: you create a custom view, everything is just the way you like it. Then you accidentally sort by a different column.

I appreciate your knowledge - I'm *so* dependent on Outlook, and know it can do most things I need it to -- it's just not always obvious how...
