I used my Outlook 2016 as my e-mail center for all my mail accounts.
But now outlook 2016 can not access my outlook.com accounts anymore, so I am forced to install the new outlook.
It is installed now, and it is whitelisted in my firewall, so it has internet access.
But when I start it I get the message that my internet is blocked.
Asking in https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook_com/forum/all/internet-access-is-blocked which PROCESS, SERVICE, EXECUTABLE or UWP needs internet access also I did not get a valid answer.
They only suggest that I install Edge, and that I am not ready to do.
Do I have another option?
 
Is Edge installed? You don't need to use it (and shouldn't need to set it as default, even temporarily), but it should be installed as new Outlook uses WebView2 files.

Yes, Edge is installed now, but of course not my default browser.
What will need to get whitelisted in my firewall now, about Edge?
 
msedgewebview2.exe (at C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\EdgeWebView\Application\129.0.2792.65 currently)

new Outlook is olk.exe

What is your version / build for Outlook 2016? If it is a retail copy and linked to a Microsoft account, it works with outlook.com (with exchange, not pop or imap)

The whitelisting of msedgewebview2.exe let outlook start now. Thanks a lot!

Olk.exe was whitelisted already.

Your question about my version / build for Outlook 2016 I can not answer for. How can I find out if it is a retail copy?

I do not have an idea yet how to install and use exchange in connection with outlook 2016, but it could mean that I would not need to change my outlook mail center with all the *.psd files etc.
