connector categories bug

If you use categories a lot, there seems to be a serious bug with Hotmail connector (or is it with Outlook 2010?). If I add a category to a calendar item in Outlook 2010, and I send/receive the account, this category is also added to the calendar item on the online Hotmail calendar (as it should). However, if I then delete the category in Outlook 2010 and then send/receive again, the online item duly shows as having no categories, but the local item gets the category back! No matter how often I delete the category locally, it keeps coming back after each send/receive. The result is calendar categories have almost become unusable for me, which means the loss of a big feature for me.


Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
Sure sounds like a bug - I'll see if i can repro it.

Categories are not supported by the connector so i'm not surprised that its buggy.

It's a shame the connector doesn't support categories, as it's sooo almost there already, and adds loads of functionality to some users, but thanks Slipstick for whatever bug removal you can do.
