Hi,
I have a recent Outlook.com account (but I use Outlook for more than 10 years) and I started to use Outlook Connector to synchronize the mail, contacts and calendar between Outlook.com and Outlook 2010 - 32 bits and I use the same Outlook.com account in my iPad and in a blackberry phone when I am not in front of my PC.
However, I have a really odd problem with the encoding e-mails synchronized between Outlook 2010 and Outlook.com in the sent items folder. In Outlook 2010 everything is OK but when I checked the sent items in Outlook.com I found that the Portuguese characters like ç or í or é are not displayed in the subject field in Outlook.com. Even stranger is the fact that these characters are well displayed in the subject field of the reading pane!
This problem only occurs with the mails sent from Outlook 2010 and synchronized with Outlook Connector as the mails sent from iPad or Blackberry are displayed correctly in Outlook.com.
I already tried different International settings in Outlook 2010 (I already tested Western European ISO, UTF-8, and Western European Windows) and the result is always the same.
I also found that this encoding problem is not limited to the sent items folder and occurs with every e-mail synchronized between Outlook 2010 and Outlook.com. For example, if I move an e-mail from another Outlook 2010 folder (not synchronized with Outlook.com) to a folder synchronized with Outlook.com the same encoding problem occurs when I check that e-mail in Outlook.com.
Does anyone have the same problem or have any idea about how to solve this?
Thank you in advance for your support.
