Duplicate contacts in iPhone resulting from LinkedIn connector in Exchange

I've been using the LinkedIn connector in Outlook for several months and it works fine, in Outlook. Unfortunately it creates a secondary contact folder in Outlook that also syncs to my iPhone. The problem this causes is duplicate entries in my iPhone, one with the full details (the regular Outlook contact record) and one with partials (normally their personal address and LinkedIn URL). It sounds like a little issue, but on 20+ occasions per week, I have to guess which record is the one with a phone number so I can call that contact.

Is there any way to MERGE the LinkedIn info with my regular contact folder?

Alternatively, can I somehow STOP my LinkedIn folder from syncing to my iPhone?
 
You can move the linkedin contacts to the default folder (outlook should identify most duplicates and merge them) but they probably won't sync with linkedin (I think they need to be in the linkedin folder to update) and if you don't disable the linkedin contacts feature, they will eventually sync down again.

if you want to disable the linkedin contact sync to outlook but keep the feed, open the social connector settings and click the paper icon to edit the linkedin settings- then click Options and uncheck download contacts from social network.

Sorry for the dumb question...but where do I find the Social Connector settings?
 
if you use the people pane, click the plus button under a picture and choose on another network. click the paper icon in the linkedin row and then Options.

you can also get there from the View ribbon, people pane, account settings.
