How to remove duplicate history items

That's what I was afraid of. BCM is the biggest piece of junk software I've ever used. It has had chronic problems since I started using it in 2004. If I had a way to move my contacts and emails out of it to another platform, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
 
Do you know of a package or platform that has such an importing capability (or a utility package that can be used with another contact manager)? thanks.
 
Every time I try to save something new in BCM (new contact, attach an email to a contact, etc.) I get an error message about “Could not allocate space for object…( different objects are named at different times)…The PRIMARY file is full. I need some way of fixing these problems. I tried to export the BCM database but got an error message (no useful information provided). I was having these problems a month or so ago, removed a number of contacts from BCM, and the problem stopped. It’s back again and I’ve only added a handful of new contacts.

This usually means the database is out of room (SQL 2008 Express has a limit of 4 GB). This error can also come up if the db is heavily fragmented. It'll also come up if the drive is out of free space.
