Outlook sent to "person" rule excluding cc

Hi all,

I'm completely stumped by this problem-

I need to create a rule which applies to emails with somebody's name in the 'sent' field ONLY. I don't want the rule applied if the user is just in the cc field.

Is there any way to do this?

Outlook doesn't support a rule for mail sent to people in the to field but you might be able to use a script to check the To field. What did you want the rule to do? The script will need to do it - once the rule hands off to the script, it can't hand it back to the rule.
 
Thanks Diane, I want the rule to add the email to a category- the company of the recipient
