Hello,

I have two email accounts set up with OL on my PC. I get email on my iPhone and iPad and to this point have not found a way to delete a message from the server from one device so it does not dump into the other devices inbox...with either account. So, with the PC being the least used, I have decided to delete one of the accounts from it, however want the data file to be preserved in case I want to re-activate it. Any suggestions? Thank you.

If you use IMAP accounts, both systems will be updated by the other. POp3 is the only account type outlook supports that is one way, inbox only.

You can delete the account from outlook and keep the data file - only the account will be removed by default. You'd need to remove the data file from the profile AND delete it from the hard drive to lose the data in it.
