pasting text in body of calendar events

so all of a sudden I can no longer cut and paste text or basically anything into the body section of a calendar event. The large area below the "start" and "end" times.

I've never had this issue before and have been using this version of outlook 2007 for at least 3 years.

Help!!!

First, Control-V does work so thank you very much!

Still, I've lost all the "other" functionality that I am used to such as "right clicking my mouse" and seeing all the options to cut/copy/ and I can now no longer "paste" a file into the area so I still can't do what I am used to doing.

To answer your question, I don't really use iCloud to manage my email. I do use iCloud to integrate my outlook and iPhone calendars...and I did literally just update my iPhone to IOS6 today. Do you think there is a connection?

Yes, there is a connection - it's because of icloud.

I only recently made the Ctrl+V connection - people were complaining that they couldn't paste in calendar & contacts in iCloud2 and every time i tried it, it worked. I was scratching my head over what was different in my setup, was it where i made the appointments etc... i finally figured out it was because I use Ctrl+V.

You could uninstall icloud2 and install icloud1 if the missing features are important to you, however, iCloud1 has quirks of its own.

Thanks again for you help. The functionality is important to me because I regularly cut and past attachments from other emails into the calendar event and while I can still attach a file I would have to everytime I wanted to attach a file first "save" the file in a folder just to paste it into a calendar event. Big workaround for something that was literally a 1 sec task.

So if I uninstall iCloud2, I'm not sure even where to find iCloud1 and I'm also concerned that everything else will fall apart. My syncing of my other Apple devices that are now updated to IOS6. I love the apple products but they make life hard sometimes!

Any advice?
 
I have a copy of the iCloud 1.1 if you can't find it at apple. At some point they will either remove their download or force everyone to iCloud 2, but for now it works.

I didn't test it extensively, but i had no problems switching to iCloud 1 and did not notice any immediately problems. Well, one - i needed to delete the iCloud data file and let it rebuild it.
