Outlook Custom form - selecting text in read page

Good morning, i am hoping this is an easy resolution and i am simply missing something easy. I hope so. Anyhow, I have designed a custom form for use in our business for requesting an investigation into something our team supports. The compose and read page are identical. Pretty simple form. List the issue and provide comments, my team receives it, conducts the investigations and resolves the issue.

The problem is the read page. We use a separate dashboard program housing our documents which have a unique DocID. these are random numbers, some of which are big. When we receive a request for investigation, the fields in the read page are locked. We cannot select the text to copy and paste into our dashboard program. I have tried enabling them, unchecking "Read only", and the fields are still locked down and cannot be selected. We don't want to edit, just be able to copy the Doc ID into our dashboard program. It's really just to make things a bit more simple.

I have spent the past couple of days trying to work this out to no avail. Is this even possible, if so, what am i missing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
