Hey guys.

Trying to fix my dad´s outlook 2007 - it reports error 0x80040600 everytime he wants to send a mail or even delete one. I cannot run scanpst.exe beause the .pst file is 11GB large.

I copied the .pst the file on an USB Key and tried to open it in my Outlook on my comp, but when I click Personal folders on the let side menu this msg appears: interface for message returned an unknown error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook (hope this is an accurate translation from Slovenian). The mayor problem is that if I delete his outlook all of his mails will be lost forever.

So my question is what else can I do?

Scanpst should run on it, but it may take a long time. You could try exporting everything to a new pst (except the deleted items).

ETA: scanpst in the newer versions of outlook should work on the Unicode pst.
