Outlook 2016 not opening

I have recently installed Outlook 2016 and have added my Outlook.com account. I've tried to set up my icloud account that was unsuccessful.
When I've tried to open Outlook again and am prompted to enter the icloud details. I know the server details are incorrect so I am prevented from accessing Outlook.
I've searched for the .pst file and deleted it, but that did not cure the problem.
I've uninstalled/rebooted/installed twice but still no joy as I am still prompted to enter the icloud details.
Can anyone give me some advice as to how to fix this?

Close Outlook. Go to Control panel, search for Mail. Edit the profile to remove the iCloud account (or edit it). That should fix it...


Incoming IMAP mail server: imap.mail.me.com
Outgoing SMTP mail server: smtp.mail.me.com
Username: Use your iCloud alias or your full iCloud email address.
Password: Your iCloud password

In More Settings, check these settings:
Outgoing Server tab: Use SMTP authentication.
Advanced tab: Use SSL (or Auto) for both incoming and Outgoing servers. Incoming port is 993, Outgoing port is 587.
