Using Windows 10 Pro & Outlook 2016. Whenever I try to search either Calendar or Tasks (whether archived or current), I get no results at all. I have moved the .pst files to C:\Users\Phil\Documents\Outlook Files. However, when I check the index options, (File/Options/Search/Indexing Options.../, I find that it's included in what should be indexed. In fact, the entire Users folder (except for AppData) is included.

I do not use Outlook for email, but use Calendar, Tasks, & Contacts. I can search Contacts. Any ideas?
Thank you in advance,
Phil

Do you have all windows and office updates installed? There were issues with pst files indexes with the windows 'anniversary update' earlier this summer - it was fixed in both windows and office updates.

If so, have you rebuild the search index?

My latest Windows update is
2017-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB4025339) Installed 7/11/17. I do not see any office updates. I have rebuilt the index.

Thanks for the suggestion, Diane. I have my options set to automatically download & install office updates, but it didn't. So I manually updated Office 2016 & then I rebuilt the index. It didn't help.

Then I went into search options. Because I don't use Outlook for email, I thought that I could use the option of current folder. I guess that was wrong. I changed it to all mailboxes & now it returns results.

Thank you again.

current folder should work, as long as you are in the folder you want to search, but search is screwed up currently.

I spoke too soon. When I search for "haircut" (without quotes), it lists all past appointments. It doesn't list any for the future, even though I can see them manually, so it's still a problem. When you say "search is screwed up currently", you mean mine...or everyone's?

everyone's... you're just searching for the keyword, no date criteria?

Right. I didn't put in a date criteria...but it doesn't show any future events. In fact, it stops on June 29 & doesn't show anything in July.
