Images coming through as Cid:image in outlook

Hello!

I have run into quite an odd issue in regards to a couple users at a client site of ours. When receiving image attachments from their clients everytime those images are coming through as what appears to be a cid hyperlink instead of the actual image? Example of one is here: cid:image003.jpg@ followed by what appears to be a code. Whats odd is this only started happening recently in December.

This one has me stumped as all the info I can find about this involves changing settings in the trust center that I have already done.
