I'm experiencing an issue with Outlook showing "The linked image cannot be displayed. The file may have been moved, renamed, or deleted. Verify that the link points to the correct file location". I have a Win10 Laptop with Office 365, using the outlook app. I have 3 accounts loaded, my work email account, my personal outlook account, and my personal Gmail account. This is only happening to my work account, within the same app. It's an issue that just started happening a couple of weeks ago. It wasn't a problem before that, so I'm guessing there's some security setting that has changed. I can also access the URL referenced in the linked image. This is also happening to my signature, which is applied via stationary as my organization manages it. The responsible person sent me a replacement HTML file to load, and it still does the same thing. I am the only person I am aware of that this is happening to, even though the signature is applied the same way across the board, as well as the security applications and settings.

Here is what I've already tried, with no success:
  • In Outlook Options->Trust Center->Automatic Download, both options below are unchecked
    • Don't download pictures automatically in standard HTML email messages
    • Don't download pictures in encrypted or signed HTML messages
  • Repairing Office
  • Control Panel->Internet Options->Advanced->Security
    • Do not save encrypted pages to disk is unchecked
  • Cleared out Temporary Internet Files
  • DisableCachingOfSSLPages registry key is set to 0 in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings

Looking of some troubleshooting advice on other settings to check, or other things to try.

Thanks in advance!

The settings you checked would apply to all accounts, which leads me to think it is something specific to the work account, like safe links enabled, a proxy, or something else.

Are all images in the work account affected or just some?
