Outlook frequently reformats text in my contacts and calendar entries, reintroducing RTF or HTML *after* I have used the "Clear Formatting" tool. In particular, Outlook arbitrarily removes or inserts line breaks in my Contacts' Notes, with no apparent logic.
Previous threads (like this one) suggest that this is an artifact of synchronization. I am using GWSMO to sync Outlook with Google. Since GWSMO always complains about HTML, I have chosen "Rich Text" as the default under "Outlook Options" - "Mail" - "Compose messages". However, my calendar and contacts also sync with an iPad and an Android smartphone (which use their native apps for them).
How can I stop this reformatting? Is there any solution short of making "Plain Text" the default under "Outlook Options" - "Mail" - "Compose messages"?
