I had some trouble transferring outlook to a new PC. Tried to find a solution in the Google Workspace administration. There was a message that support for access to "unsafe" apps, among them Outlook 2019, will end 2024. They have made a tool to get access to older versions.
"New" Outlook 356 and 2021 can use Oauth2 to connect with Gmail and some users can test this in Outlook 2019. However, this creates an IMAP account (with synchronization of address and calendar). A pop account with a pst file is not possible. Google has developed Google Workspace Sync for Microsoft® Outlook. This does not allow more than one workspace account in an Outlook profile, making it unusable for me. When synchronising (uploading) your existing account it makes a total mess mixing up different accounts when there is more than one.
Then there is a problem accessing all your email history locally. With pst and archiving this is no problem, but I am not sure about IMAP.
I have suggested they postpone disabling unsafe access until Microsoft rolls out Outh2 for 2019, but their support too has degenerated to Indian standards, so I only get explanations of what I already know.
