I still very happily use Outlook 2003 (32 bit) and it has been working well with Windows 10 (64 bit) pc until the recent Creators Update 1709.
After this update, when I opened Outlook all appeared normal until I realised it was not 'sending and receiving'. When I tried to access the Email Accounts from the Tools menu, nothing happened. Luckily I have my installation CD-ROM so I selected the Detect and Repair option and fortunately this restored Outlook 2003 to working order again (without having to set up the individual email accounts or anything else again). Phew!
Has anyone else experienced this and, if so, found any alternative solutions?
The reason I ask is that I have another Windows 10 pc (32 bit this time) also with Outlook 2003 (32 bit) on it, but so far this pc has not updated beyond the 1703 version, so 1709 must be due any day! The trouble is I don't have the original CD-ROM for this copy of Outlook in case I need it.
Does anyone have any suggestions please as to how I can avert disaster?! In particular, I wonder if there are any files I can copy on either pc which would enable me to get the 2nd Outlook working again if it suffers the same fate as the first after the Windows update?
Many thanks.
