Hello , faced such problem , a Trojan virus ate the original OST file , is it possible to convert it after restoring to PST , if Yes then how ? please tell me...
The ost file is just a local copy of the mailbox on the server. If a trojan ate it, the mailbox will resync. If it deleted the mail, then you'll need a backup file - if you have a good copy of the ost, you may be able to restore it to Outlook (if it was created using the same profile) and export to a pst. Do this while outlook is working offline. Go online and import the pst to the mailbox to restore mail.
