My wife recently got a new laptop with (ugh!) Windows 11 Pro. She likes to email links of online news stories to people, e.g. from the NY Times website. When she clicks on the mail icon at the top of a news story, Windows tries to start new Outlook. She cancels out because I have explained how right now the new Outlook is the spawn of the Devil.
As a workaround she has to copy the full URL of the article, and put that into an email. Since I am still using Windows 10 I don't have that problem.
We are on an Office 365 Family Plan.
I set the registry key as described in Use Classic Outlook, not New Outlook, but that had no effect on this issue.
I just need to find a solution, since I am the "IT person" in this household. I am extremely comfortable with editing the registry. if I need to enter a VBA macro, then I will learn how. It would be good for me to learn that skill. If it matters, we have Revo Uninstaller Pro (highly recommended, by the way) installed in all the systems in our household.
As usual, thanks in advance. I would like to return the favor if I can. If anyone needs advice on digital photography software, notably Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, please send me a private message. As for camera hardware, if you want something "more" than a phone camera, then look at the brands (in alphabetic order) Canon, Nikon, and Sony, and concentrate on mirrorless cameras.
