I currently have an email server and an email address provided by my ISP. However, I wish to leave this ISP, but I cannot do so until I acquire a new email server and a new email address, and I have informed all my contacts and services of my change of email address. So, there will be a period during which I will still be using two email addresses and two email servers. But, in the end, my intention is to cease using my old email server and old email address. I can then leave my current ISP and move to another one. And I will make sure that my new email server and new email address are independent of my new ISP, so I don’t encounter this problem again!
My query is, what is the best way of using the function of the Classic Outlook client (Office 2021 vintage) on my desktop PC (running Windows 10 Pro) to achieve all this?
I use a POP3/SMTP account to connect to the email server and, when emails are downloaded to my PC, they are deleted from the email server. So, at any one point in time, the only emails stored on the email server are those waiting to be downloaded to my PC.
I can’t believe that this is a unique requirement and yet, when I search the Internet for a documented procedure for how to do all this, I can’t find one. Perhaps not that many people use the Classic Outlook client?
