Hi,
Running 2010 under W7 Ultimate.
I have two mail files call them A (original) and B (consolidated from a variety of backups). A worked fine and the cleanup tools worked as well. All accounts are set up to send their mail to A
I added B in control panel->mail and opened outlook. I can see and manipulate the contents in Outlook but the cleanup tools only worked for A.
Control Panel->Mail and I removed A and set B as the default (which is how I want to end up) but none of the cleanup tools work (Yes, I forgot to change the default receiving location for each account!). Specifically:
* File->info->Cleanup tools produces the list of three tools but nothing else. When you click any of the tools, all that happens is that the list of three tools disappears.
Also Manage Rules and alerts also does nothing (but access is still available by right clicking a rule and selecting Rules->Manage Rules and Alerts)
So I went into Control Panel->Mail and removed B from the list of files and set A as the default. Restarted outlook but no change.
So I rebooted and restarted Outlook. No change.
So the two questions are
1. How do I get Cleanup Tools and Mail Rules to work again
2. How do I change my default mail file to B and still have Cleanup Tools working
