not getting email from people

Why am I not receiving email from people I know are sending email to me.

They do not get a return message, nor do the emails show up in junk mail.

Could it be Norton 360? Could it be in my setting?

I also don't see pics that are incerted into the body of the text.

I also don't see the colored text. where friend would indicate corrections in red, I dont see the read in the text.

Realy looking to get this corrected.

You can check your profile settings or other network settings. If settings are fine, you may contact to your systems/server admin for the help. It could be possible that there are some issues on the server.
 
Test it in Safe mode. To open Outlook in Safe mode: Close Outlook then hold Ctrl as you click on the Outlook icon. You'll get a message asking if you want to start in Safe mode. Click Ok.

With outlook in safe mode, do new message appear as expected? (messages already in the inbox are unlikely to be affected by safe mode.)

Are you receiving messages in plain text format? It should say in the title bar of an opened message.

It could be Norton 360 scanning the messages, the ISP scanning the messages or something else.
 
I'd suggest looking in the web interface of your mail to see if the messages are there. Go to your provider's page - Cox, Comcast, godaddy, etc and look for an email or webmail link. If emails are not there, then no way they will be in Outlook either.
